Biography

Latika Luthra utilizes her background in biomedical science to draft and prosecute patent applications for clients in the biotechnology space. Prior to her joining the firm, Latika worked for Emory University, where she reviewed, negotiated and finalized all terms and conditions of research contracts with academic medical centers, universities and private foundation sponsors.

Latika has prepared and prosecuted patent applications in biotechnology, chemical, pharmaceutical, polymer, medical device and software fields. She also has conducted patentability, freedom-to-operate and invalidity opinions.

Latika’s academic research investigated the mechanism by which Notch-1 mediates epithelial-mucosal healing during colitis. She also served as a graduate research assistant for an mRNA universal vaccine against the influenza virus and gingerol phytochemicals as cancer-curing drugs.
