Biography

Mohammad Abu-Laban focuses his practice on preparing and prosecuting patent applications related to biotechnology, bioengineering, pharmaceuticals, biomedical science, immunology, virology and chemical engineering.

Mohammad earned a PhD in Bioengineering from The Pennsylvania State University, where he investigated metal nanoparticle delivery systems of short non-coding RNA molecules, under magnetic field or surface plasmon stimuli. Following his PhD, he began his postdoctoral training at Northwestern University and continued at the National Institutes of Health in the Vaccine Research Center where he worked on developing high-throughput HIV reservoir assays and investigating HIV persistence mechanisms.
