Meunier Carlin & Curfman Continues to Grow IP Practice
April 12, 2016
Meunier Carlin & Curfman LLC continues to bolster its IP capabilities with the addition of Brian Johnson. Brian joins the firm as Of Counsel from a Charlotte, NC based IP boutique. Brian is the fourth professional to join the firm since the beginning of 2016.
“Brian brings his proficiency in electrical engineering, coupled with expertise in writing and advocacy for complex subject matters,” said managing partner, Drew Meunier. “He enhances our firm’s ability to serve clients in the electrical, medical device and software space.”
Brian’s practice focuses on intellectual property development, protection and enforcement. Brian has particular experience in patent and trademark counseling, prosecution, and appeals before the USPTO and international jurisdictions spanning the globe. As a trained engineer, he is adept in assisting clients ranging from first time inventors to companies that have developed electro-mechanical devices, software, instrumentation and electrical utility inventions. Brian’s prior experience as a Patent Examiner for the USPTO gives him an understanding of both sides of the administrative and regulatory environment surrounding patents and trademarks.
“We are excited to have Brian join our rapidly growing firm,” said Drew.
